Tiger Sugar Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse

TIGER SUGAR – The popular Taiwanese milk tea chain is opening their first Philippine branch today in Bonifacio High Street in BGC.

Tiger Sugar is known for their brown sugar boba and thicker milk/cream – their bestseller is actually the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse, which I was able to try during their media launch yesterday.

Unlike other “brown sugar” milk teas, Tiger Sugar’s doesn’t taste grassy like sugarcane. Instead, Tiger Sugar tastes more caramel-ly. The cream mousse also makes the whole milk tea thicker and not as watery as the competitions’. The thick cream also lets the brown sugar syrup make the pretty tiger stripe patterns on the cup that the chain is named for!

I like pearl milk tea because of the boba, and the one I drank had soft yet still chewy boba, and I felt that there were different sizes of boba used, the variety made drinking it a little bit more fun. Okay, thinking about it now, I think they gave me the one with Boba + Pearl 🙂

My sister told me that she saw Tiger Sugar in Hong Kong during her recent trip, and that the lines were soooooooooooooo long! She didn’t try it in Hong Kong because of the long lines. Friends in Singapore also confirm the long lines for Tiger Sugar. Thankfully, Tiger Sugar has come to our shores.

Tiger Sugar was brought to the Philippines by milk tea afficionado Samantha Yap. The first branch is opening in the middle of Bonifacio High Street, somewhere near Fully Booked. Price for the bestselling Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse is just P120. The drinks only come in one size.
