Last Thursday, I attended Pizza Hut’s Orange La-La-Land-themed pool party.

The party was to launch their latest pizza flavor, the Orange Chicken Pops Pizza!
Since it was an orange-themed party, of course, I had to use my new Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense in Nectar Coral!
I love orange chicken, so of course, I really enjoyed this new pizza. It is a sweet pizza – it has juicy chicken pops (like chicken popcorn), and is covered with sweet orange glaze. Beneath that, there is the usual mozzarella and pineapples.
The crust – I noticed that I actually enjoyed the crust and finished the whole slice. I got to talking with Pizza Hut’s Marketing Manager, Lorent Adrias, and he told me that Pizza Hut revamped their crust.
So, for the past few years, people have been giving feedback about Pizza Hut, saying things like it’s all bread with few toppings, etc… The Pizza Hut team took these feedback to heart and really strove to make something good.
Lorent himself spent a lot of time researching ovens and breadmaking! The result is a new Pizza Hut crust that has crunch! I noticed that the crust wasn’t so dough-y anymore (di na lasang tinapay) – it is airy, but has structure; chewy but not dense. And yes, it is more crunchy than the old crust, even if it’s a pan pizza crust!
Not only that, if you notice from the photos, there are more toppings on the pizza and they reach almost to the edge of the pizza! In the past, there used to be a 1-inch space from the toppings to the crust, but now it’s only about 1/2 inch.
