You Had Me at Glittergelli Gold – Mister Donut Choco Gold Donuts

Mister Donut, the largest donut chain in Japan, just released two new premium donut variants with Glittergelli Gold 🙂

I was able to try both last weekend at their newly renovated SM Megamall branch (ground floor, Mega A).

CHOCO GOLD DONUTS

They are called the Choco Gold Donuts and they are available in two flavors:

• Gold Dark Chocolate
• Gold Cookies and Cream

Chocoholics Rejoice!

For these donuts, Mister Donut partnered with Hersheys for all the chocolate!

The donuts are filled with Hersheys chocolate cream. For the glaze, the Gold Dark Chocolate is glazed with a Hersheys dark chocolate glaze, and, for the Gold Cookies and Cream, it is glazed with a Hersheys cookies and cream glaze. The donuts are then decorated with sparkling gold glittergelli and topped with a Hersheys chocolate icing rosette.

All the chocolate fillings, glazes and icings are made with Hersheys Cocoa Powder.

These donuts are sweet but not too sweet. I think they make a pretty good “I just want you to know that I thought of you today” kind of gift. At P30 each, you can make your loved ones feel special without hurting your wallet. 🙂

Other Favorites at Mister Donut

Other items that I usually order at Mister Donut are their Chunky Chicken Snackwich and Coffee! Mister Donut’s coffee tastes good and strong.

But I’ve recently discovered their Strawberry Fruit Blend! It’s only P50 for 16 oz. and actually tastes better than more expensive Strawberry fraps from other places 🙂

I like that Mister Donut always comes up with fun, new stuff! Last time, they had their Minions donuts, then they had their Misis Donut and Throwback Donuts for Mother’s Day, and this time, they have their Choco Gold Donuts 🙂
