Book and Borders, the charming cafe that encourages you to stay there and read books, opened its third branch at Eastwood City last weekend! I was fortunate to be invited to the party!
BOOK AND BORDERS CAFE EASTWOOD OPENS
Book and Borders Cafe Eastwood formally opened its doors last Nov. 26, 2016. It is located on the ground floor of Olympic Height Condominium, along Orchard Road in Eastwood, past Fitness First, and a little further across from Eastwood Mall.
Having already opened branches in Tuscany, McKinley Hill, Taguig, and Tomas Morato, Quezon City, Book & Borders Cafe is proud to unveil its third cafe in Eastwood City, giving residents, office workers, students and shoppers a new venue to dine and unwind after a tiring day.
To celebrate this milestone, Book & Borders owner Kristine Simisim, Mary Simisim, Megaworld’s Kevin Tan, General George Ancheta, Benjamin Alves, Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon, Architect Paolo Grijalvo and Harry Morris led the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The cafe is cozy. It has these extra touches that make a book lover feel welcome. There are bookshelves, colorful couches, and big glass windows that let light in.
It doesn’t normally look like this with the blue / violet lighting – this was just the set up for the grand opening party. The cafe is normally calmer and quieter.
This is what Book and Borders normally looks like:
It not only has coffee, but also serves comfort food like pasta, rice, sandwiches. I took a picture of their menu. They have coffee, hot chocolate, tea, smoothies, shakes, fresh salad, pasta, breakfast, rice meals, sandwiches, buffalo wings, and even cocktails and beer!
I think the alcohol is to cater to the after office crowd in Eastwood.
Here are some of the dishes that Book and Borders Cafe serves:
Special guest Karylle serenaded us with songs.
Here’s a short video of the event with more of Karylle and showing more of Book and Borders Cafe Eastwood. Check out the party!
Finally, I chilled with a cup of warming Book and Borders coffee.
If you’re in the area, give them a visit! You can also stay there to wait for traffic to abate before heading home.
