It’s that time of the year again when we go crazy over S&R’s Members’ Treat sale items!
The S&R Members’ Treat is happening right now, from March 14 – 18, 2018! Not only that, S&R members also get P5.00/L discount on gas and P3.00/L discount on diesel when they gas up at participating Unioil stations from March 14 – 18!
So hurry because it’s only until Sunday!
EARLY BIRDING
While we went to S&R several times before the actual Members’ Treat sale started on March 14, I waited until Wednesday to really get good deals on food & chocolates! I posted my finds on my Facebook page almost real time, so you can follow me there if you want to see deals I find as soon as I find them!
If you want to avoid the crowds, you can visit S&R a few days early to get a jump on the sales. S&R usually starts preparing their shelves and signages a few days before, so they already have sale items available for early bird shoppers. These are usually on household and kitchen items like plates, bakeware, pots & pans, etc…
The bulk of the sales and Buy 1 Take 1’s still happen on the actual Members’ Treat sales, so I still made sure to visit on the actual sale days.
SALE FINDS!
I am just going to be picking what I think are the popular items on sale. If I go through each and every sale item I found, this blog post would be too long! I shared a lot on my Facebook page, so you can check that out if you want to see more 🙂
So without further ado, here are some of the awesome deals I found.
These are the popular Buy 1 Take 1’s and we hoarded most of them!
You all know these brown eggs are my fave and we buy them every time we see them on promo. P538 / 90 pcs = about P6.00/ egg. We can make lots of scrambled eggs, soft-boiled soy eggs like the ones they serve with ramen, leche flan, yum yum yum! We put them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh longer. Mas masarap talaga this egg compared to regular white eggs.
The Emborg Mozzarella on Buy 1 Take 1 is also one of my favorite finds!
Love making smoothies or blueberry pancakes? Yes! Blueberries on Buy 1 Take 1! Blueberry pancakes = make your regular pancake, then while cooking the first side (before flipping), arrange some frozen blueberries on the uncooked top side of the pancake, then continue to cook it like normal. Easy!
As for sweets & snacks, the Rondoletti wafers are Buy 1 Take 1 at P174. 2 cans for only P174, and you can mix and match flavors!

These coffees I’ve never seen on Buy 1 Take 1! I have a Dolce Gusto machine that I rarely use because the capsules are just too darn expensive for every day use. So I only bring them out when we have guests staying at home, or when I’m having a brunch / party, etc… Now that I’m able to get them at half price, I feel more inclined to use them regularly.
For instant coffee, I usually purchase Nescafe Gold. It’s the only widely available instant coffee that I find acceptable, taste-wise and price-wise. I do drink other coffee, which we usually receive as gifts or pasalubong. Sayang naman if we don’t drink it. But when I run out, regular black Nescafe Gold is the one I buy. However, I find this Nescafe Gold mix a bit pricey at P16 per cup so I’ve never bought one. But now that it’s Buy 1 Take 1, I hoarded a few boxes 😀 It’s like it’s only P8.00!
There were many alcoholic beverages on Buy 1 Take 1, like the Cosmopolitan, Vedett Beer, Beringer wine, etc… but I think most people would be interested in the J&B and Jim Beam Buy 1 Take 1:
As for household items, there were many pots & pans, baking dishes, casserole dishes, etc on sale and Buy 1 Take 1:
These food storage containers work really well for storing leftovers. You can easily reheat leftovers here without having to transfer to a microwave-safe or oven-safe dish.
These casseroles with lid are great serving ware for soups and stews, chicken curry, chicken adobo, etc…
If you still don’t have a bakeware set at home, this set is a great deal. It’s a 9-pc set for only P599!
