Market Market Home & Gift Market Relaunch Camille Prats
Camille Prats cut the ribbon 🙂

Last Friday, Market! Market! relaunched their Home Market and their Gift Market sections. These are areas in the mall that house several tenants selling wares that cater to high, mid, and budget buyers.

These shopping sections are located at the third floor of Market! Market! Just go up to the third floor using the escalators near the main mall entrance. Once you reach the third floor, the Gift Market is on the right, and the Home Market is on the left.

GIFT MARKET

This is the place to go when you want to buy “tiangge” stuff in BGC. As far as I know right now, there is no other place in the BGC area that has this sort of set up. Most of the shops in BGC are high-end boutiques so if you’re looking for something “tiangge” you’ll have to travel to other places like Greenhills or Divisoria, but not anymore! And FYI, you can haggle! 🙂

Market Market Gift Market Stalls

There are a few stalls selling local handicrafts: you can buy woven bags and baskets as gift bags, Ilocano Abel Weaving items which I only usually buy in Vigan, etc… As for the abel items, I find the prices not that much more expensive than their prices in Vigan. Of course, they are going to be slightly more expensive here, but not by a lot though.

You can also get your Filipiniana clothes here:

For your craft and sewing needs. I know how difficult it is to look for places that sell sewing and crafting items outside of Tabora St. in Divisoria, so FYI for those who like to sew and live near BGC that there’s somewhere here you can go for supplies.

They also have a Pearl Market inside where the sellers usually design their own affordable pearl jewelry. More on that in a bit. Prices are similar to Greenhills prices, and the products are similar as well. So if you live nearby and don’t want to go all the way to GH just to buy some pearls, give this section a look. It’s also a good place for foreigners/tourists (who usually stay in BGC) to buy some pearls to take home, without having to deal with the big GH crowd. I think that this Pearl Section would be more manageable for a non-local to shop in, and it’s also likely to be closer to their hotel or condo (walking distance if within BGC).

I was told that Lucky & Liza’s jewelry have won design awards and have been used in shows like Amaya, etc…

Forgive the owner photos, some of the owners just insisted on having their picture taken with their shop when they saw me taking photos of their products. 😀

HOME MARKET

The Home Market has a lot of well-made local furniture. They also have imported furniture and even budget-friendly ones.

These San-Yang furniture are on 15% OFF until December 31, 2017. I bought some shelves because I had been looking for one of these ladder-style shelves for a while. The one I got was P2,750, with 15% off, it was just only P2,337.50.

It’s an assemble-it-yourself shelf, but the instructions were easy to follow – drawings instead of words. All the parts were labeled except the screws, but they were easy to figure out. A cordless screwdriver definitely made things easier for me, and I was able to assemble it without much trouble. I needed some help holding some of the shelves up while I was screwing it in but that’s all.

Hope you enjoyed this look at the newly re-launched Home Market and Gift Market sections at Market! Market!
