Mediheal Black Mask

I was into masks back when I was in college, and my masks back then were mostly about drawing out all the dirt and pollution out from my skin. But as life got busy, I totally forgot about doing masks.

Now it’s 2018 and one of my beauty resolutions is to try doing face masks more often – if not once a week, then at least once a month. There are also so many masks to choose from now, and these masks can address all sorts of skin needs.

I recently attended the launch of MEDIHEAL Masks. They claim to be the #1 mask pack in the world. I’ll be trying their most popular mask, review below.

WHAT IS MEDIHEAL?

MEDIHEAL products were developed at the beauty school of the prestigious Seoul University by a team of skin experts and dermatologists who understand Asian skin and what works for it. The brand offers a wide range of innovative and effective sheet masks and skin care products that cater to different concerns.

There are different types of mask packs addressing specific skin concerns and needs, such as for acne, brightening, soothing, moisture retention and uneven skin tone. The N.M.F. (Natural Moisturizing Factor) Aquaring Ampoule Mask EX. is MEDIHEAL’s bestselling mask pack worldwide. It contains ingredients that help moisturize the skin and help improve its elasticity.

The masks sell for P99 up to P149 per individual mask, depending on the variant.

MEDIHEAL is exclusively available at SM Beauty and Watsons.

MEDIHEAL X BTS

Meanwhile, fans of Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, are in for a treat as the MEDIHEAL x BTS Boxed Set, which includes 10 mask packs and 14 photo cards, will be available online at www.watsons.com.ph starting March 15.

Mediheal x BTS

The seven-member K-Pop group composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jungkook was the most talked-about on the micro-blogging site Twitter in 2017.

Watsons will carry all four boxes of MEDIHEAL x BTS—Hydrating Care, Brightening Care, Moisturizing Care and Soothing Care. Each box will retail for Php 1,250.

MEDIHEAL N.M.F. AQUARING MASK REVIEW

Mediheal NMF Aquaring

I went home with some MEDIHEAL masks, and of course, the first one I tried was their most popular one, the N.M.F. Aquaring. Whereas in the past, I was into detoxifying clay masks, I think what my skin needs now are more nourishing and hydrating masks.

Here’s what it looks like, front and back:

Here’s what the masks looks like right out of the pouch:

The mask was very slimy, but I guess that’s good, for the essence to be able to stay on and hydrate the skin. It was easy to put on, everything was straightforward.

If you look closely, you’ll be able to see faint markings with MEDIHEAL written on the mask sheet (not visible in the photo, but visible in real life). When the MEDIHEAL logo appears on the mask sheet, then it’s time to remove the mask.

The mask essence felt good on the skin. It stayed put and did not drip. I was able to work on my laptop while doing the mask, so yay for multi-tasking!  I set a timer for 20 minutes, and when that was up, the MEDIHEAL logo had not yet appeared on the mask, except for the nose area, where the mask was getting dry.

So I let it stay for some more time, until I felt like it was too long already. The MEDIHEAL logo did not appear except for the few places I mentioned. After removing the mask, my face felt very moisturized. Of course, there was still some mask residue on my skin, and I did not rinse it off so it would continue to be absorbed.

I went about my normal routine, I did not feel anything different except that my face felt very not dry. And then two days later, I noticed that my skin felt smoother, tighter, and the pores seemed smaller. It felt really nice! I don’t know if it’s just me, but whatever I do to my face, usually I only notice the results the next day or some time after. I’m not one of those people who notice changes right away after using a product.

So I would say that yes, it is effective 🙂 The mask is nice. It’s not magic, but if you need something extra for your skin aside from your daily skin nourishing routine, you might want to try this. The effect for me lasted for the next few days.
